In case you hadn’t seen the recent video, Caleb is a walker. Like, seriously. He won’t stop walking. He started taking a few more steps on Christmas morning, and then kept getting better and better during the day after Christmas, and now he’s a pro.
Sarah keeps walking around the house saying, “Where’s my baby? Who is this walking around my house? WHERE’S MY LITTLE BABY?” And I’m sure we’re going to be saying that for the next 18+ years, and beyond, right?
Caleb turns one on Sunday. One. Year. Old. It seems so crazy.
One of the things we’re trying to figure out now is what to do with the bottles and formula. He’s still on a pretty regular schedule of a bottle before naps and before bedtime, but I also know that babies don’t really need formula once they hit the 1-year mark. And so the question now is…what about that bottle?
What are we supposed to do? Slowly wean him off needing a bottle for naps, and then eventually take away the bedtime bottle? Should we immediately switch to cow’s milk the day after his first birthday or make it more of a gradual transition?
I’m wondering what you’ve all done and experienced? What worked well for you?
