Oh yah…I have a DOG too!

I think it was a couple weeks ago that I looked over at Sadie, and thought to myself…”Oh yah…I have a DOG too!”

Sarah does a better job with Sadie than I do, and I’ll admit that between work, coming home, cleaning up, spending time with Caleb, etc., I tend to forget that we have a dog. I used to play with Sadie a lot more, used to rough-house with her and there was a period of time in Livermore when I would take her for walks…

But, it seems that since the move to Ashland, I’ve kind of forgotten we had a dog for awhile. Of course, it was maddening those weeks in the winter when she kept running away…and so maybe that ticked me off or something. But ever since Caleb has been in our lives, he obviously takes priority in my mind and so I end up neglecting the dog a bit…

So, the other night, I just sat down on the floor and pet her, played with her a bit…and remembered that we had a dog. I need to do that more – because she is a wonderful part of our family, and she has been really awesome dealing with not being the center of attention anymore. Good girl, Sadie. Good girl.
