Caleb is no stranger to books, by any means. He certainly takes after Sarah in that regard. Often, if things are a little too quiet in the living room if we’re working in the kitchen, we’ll peak out and see Caleb sitting in a corner, just flipping through his board books.
Because Caleb loves books (and everyone wants him to love books), Caleb’s library is pretty impressive.
From board books on up, we have the classics, new books and more!
Currently, one of his favorite books is “All Creatures Great and Small“, illustrated by Naoko Stoop. When I read this to him before a nap or before going down to bed at night, as soon as we get to the last page, he grabs the book out of my hands and just stares at the final page in the book.
He gazes at all the animals, and then will start flipping through the book himself.
I love the book because of the illustrations. I could only find one other book by illustrator Naoko Stoop (“Red Knit Cap Girl“), but I’m hopeful that she’ll come out with other new children’s books. I just think the style is so cute and appealing to kids, and Caleb clearly likes it.
Every now and then, I like to share some of the things we really enjoy as parents of a 14 month old, and so I wanted to share this version of “All Creatures Great and Small,” illustrated by Naoko Stoop. You can learn more about her on her website, or check out her Etsy store.
