Back on November 25, 2006, I wrote a post on Pomomusings entitled “Hubbyblogger? Mommyblogger?” Here is a short quote from it:
“During our time last night hanging out, we talked some about blogging, and about blogging about children, and it was decided that I would probably turn into a mommyblogger when we have kids. Not that there is anything wrong with mommybloggers…I know many and love reading their blogs. But…yah. I’ll probably be the mommyblogger. So much for traditional gender roles…”
It appears that prophecy has become reality.
With Sarah working on her PhD, it seems that blogging has kind of fallen by the wayside (May of 2009 was her last post). I used to give her a lot of crap about it because I love her writing so much and think she’s a great blogger, but…gotta pick your battles people, right? So, it looks like the blogging responsibility rests on me. And that’s cool…I like it.
While I think the social media connections through Facebook and Twitter most definitely slowed down (and sometimes has stalled) my writing on Pomomusings (the blog I’ve had for over 7 years), starting up DazedDad.com has definitely renewed my interest in writing and blogging.
So I may not even have actual children outside of the womb yet – and I may still be just beginning this parenting journey and blogging about it – but watch out mommybloggers, move over BlogHer…the Dazed Dad is here.

Welcome to the dadblog-o-sphere. Many of us hang out at the twitter hashtag #DadsTalking. So come on over! (We have rules though http://dad-u.blogspot.com/2010/08/draft-dadstalking-bloggers-code-of.html).
What stage of her PhD is she at? Could be pretty hard going at times with that + twins. Good luck!!

I don’t usually push personal stuff in a comment, but I have to share this! I usually am the blogger in the family, however since having the baby my husband has started to blog and I have to say it’s been pretty great. He’s always been a great writer, but he has topped himself with this. If you want to follow him (and again forgive me for pushing in a comment but I think you will REALLY enjoy reading his stuff) it’s judes-dad.blogspot.com.
I’m going to send your link over to him so he can read and follow you as well! : )
